After a great workshop & concert at JCC-Asheville, we headed over to Echo Mountain Recording! Hands-down the most awesomely fun studio I've ever seen (and that's saying a lot), with really amazing rooms and booths and vintage gear and vibe. Thanks to the extremely knowledgeable Jessica Tomasin for showing the diggs.

Judaic Mosaic campers rocking out! Congrats to our bands for doing such an awesome job and getting the kids dancing. Here are some pics from our Instagram feed:

Our Jewish community has many musically gifted kids, but very few in-school Jewish music programs. Some private religious schools offer a general music appreciation class and/or musical theatre, but lack the group ensembles found in public schools (ex: orchestras, concert bands). Meanwhile, students who participate in public high school ensembles are rarely exposed to Jewish content.

Judaic Mosaic provides a forum for Jewish teens of all affiliations, from the many different school systems across our metropolis, to interact musically and socially in a professional learning environment. Our classrooms are concert venues, top industry rehearsal facilities and recording studios. Year-round "post-camp" alumni opportunities include shadowing award-winning engineers, paid gigs, live radio interviews, and record label internships.

We employ collaborative songwriting exercises and creative activities to improve engagement, retention, leadership development, and team performance. Campers exit the program with:
    - refined sense of their own musical identity
    - better understanding of what it means to be a Jewish artist
    - unique personal connection to peers and city-wide Jewish community
    - knowledge of collegiate-level Music Theory and Composition techniques
    - experience of recording in a major studio and commercial songwriting credit
    - commercially-released song on iTunes and all other major digital retailers
